Municipal Gallery Learning Programme - Have Your Say

Closed 25 Aug 2020

Opened 27 Jul 2020

The aim of the Municipal Gallery programme at dlr LexIcon in Dún Laoghaire is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to engage with the visual arts in a variety of ways.

Up until March of this year, each gallery exhibition programme consisted of artworks in the gallery space and a learning programme – designed to create opportunities for people  explore and engage with the artworks on show. Some example include talks, demonstrations, practical workshops for all ages, tours and bespoke projects in collaboration with local community groups.

Unfortunately due to Covid-19, the onsite activities stopped in March. The Gallery has just recently reopened to visitors.

Why We Are Consulting

So what do we do now? We miss our dementia inclusive gallery tours, regular workshops and talks.

We understand that some of our visitors are not comfortable coming into the Gallery and Project Room. So for Winter 2020 we are asking you to let us know what you would like as part of the Gallery Learning Programme – whether this is online activity, or based in the Gallery.

All ideas and requests will be reviewed and considered by the dlr Arts Office Team and our local community partners. Your feedback and input would be greatly appreciated at this time.

We are asking you to contact us by email, by post or by completing the online survey below before 5pm on 25 August.
