Arts: New Arts Plan for the County

Closed 31 Jan 2024

Opened 13 Dec 2023

Overview

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Arts Office is developing a new Arts Plan for everyone who lives, works, and visits the County. It is important that everyone is given an opportunity to contribute to this new Arts Plan.

An Arts Office provides services and funding that sustain and hopefully grow the arts locally. In Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown the Arts Office is a team of five council staff who work with our community to address barriers people may have to fully enjoy the arts in their area.

An Arts Plan is a guide which sets out the ambition, priorities and goals the Council has for the County’s arts service over the next 7 years. Based on public engagement and your survey feedback, we will publish an Arts Plan to show what the Arts Team will do and how the Council will spend public funding to support local arts.

We have already organised a number of ways for children and young people to participate in consultations. We have also directly consulted with creative practitioners/artists and arts organisations.

We are now seeking the opinions of people who live, study, work or visit the County. Enter your email or phone number to be in with a chance to win a €100 voucher for the Pavilion Theatre or dlr Mill Theatre!

Why your views matter

This is a short survey and we'd appreciate your input, it will help shape the next plan for arts for Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County. It should only take 5 minutes to complete.

The information gathered will be accessible to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Arts Office and the results will help inform the new Arts Plan.

If you have any questions, you can contact us by email arts@dlrcoco.ie or telephone 01 2362759.
