Public Consultation on Economic Plan for Dún Laoghaire Harbour and Spatial & Economic Plan for Dún Laoghaire Town

Closed 28 Feb 2021

Opened 29 Jan 2021

Dún Laoghaire Harbour came into the ownership of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council in October 2018.

This has been a positive development for Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County.  Dún Laoghaire Harbour and Dún Laoghaire town have, for many years, been perceived as two separate entities.

Given their close proximity and their value to the County and its citizens, it is important for both that there are stronger connections between them recognising that the economic, social and leisure development of each is vital to the other.

Why your views matter

To inform the future development of the Town and Harbour, a number of studies are being undertaken by the Council in association with KPMG and Indecon. The aim of the studies is to set out a clear and coherent vision and roadmap to assist and guide the ongoing optimal development and strategic planning of both Dún Laoghaire Harbour and Dún Laoghaire Town given the synergies and interdependencies between both.

We want to hear what you have to say about any future developments of Dún Laoghaire Harbour and Dún Laoghaire town and invite you to complete all or some of the surveys in the link below.

The surveys are based around:

  • Business in the area (aimed at business owners generally)

  • Harbour specifically (general public)

There are 3 separate surveys contained in the consultation.
