Nominations will not be accepted after 5pm on Wednesday, April 10th.

Criteria for Nominations

In order to be eligible for a Volunteer Award, the individual must:

  • Be a member of a locally based not-for-profit Community or Voluntary group/organisation in the County of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
  • Be a member of a group/organisation that is able to demonstrate an inclusive and transparent ethos.
  • Be a member of a group/organisation that is working to address the issues / target groups identified in the dlr LECP. The LECP is available on our website here.
  • Be a member of a group/organisation that has an appropriate organisational structure and can demonstrate a commitment to good practice in line with the Governance Code or the Charities Governance Code.
  • Be a member of a group/organisation that is registered with the DLR Public Participation Networking (PPN) or in the process of registering.  

Any volunteer nominee should be aware and accept that they are being nominated.

A volunteer can be nominated under one category only for the Volunteer Awards. Individuals who receive pay for their service will not be eligible. 

GDPR

The Council is obliged to comply with the obligations contained in the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 in relation to the processing of personal data.

Details submitted as part of this nomination/scheme will not be shared with third parties, other than the Judges adjudicating on the nominations, except for the eventual winners in each category. Details of the winners including images may be used in promotional material related to Community and Volunteer Awards.

Data Protection

By completing this form I consent for Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to the release and use of all materials, images and texts included in the submission and photographs taken at the judging event to be used in promotional material related to Community and Volunteer Awards. I agree that no compensation shall be due to me or my group/organisation for such usage.
