Active School Travel - Community Feedback Survey
Overview
The Active School Travel project is centred on the concept of providing a connected and safe network of walking and cycling routes to schools across the county, and this has been emphasised from the project's inception in August 2020. There are three routes to this scheme Sea to Mountains, Mountains to Metal and Park to Park. As part of the delivery of this project, we have provided for a trial period post-construction. The purpose of this period is to get feedback from the public on how the scheme is operating and if it needs to be amended or improved. The Sea to Mountains Route is described below:
Why your views matter
We are now seeking feedback from the public and this feedback will be considered along with the other data that is collected including:
- Traffic speed/volume count data
- Pedestrian and Cycle count data
- Vehicle routing data
- Community representative interviews e.g. resident associations, business associations
- Community feedback survey i.e. a general opportunity to provide feedback
- Public space audit i.e. has space been allocated in line with policy goals
- Alignment with policy audit i.e. have policy goals been achieved
We are working towards completing this analysis and making a decision by Q3. 2023.
The closing date of the consultation is Friday, 30 June 2023.
