Outdoor Event Licence for Music Event at Marlay Park June-July 2022

Overview

Order of the Executive Manager, Planning Department, dated 6^th May 2022 – the granting of a licence to MCD productions under Section 231 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended) for the holding of concerts which shall be held on the following dates, Monday 27^th June, Tuesday 28^th June and Wednesday 29^th June 2022, Friday 1^st July, Saturday 2^nd July and Sunday 3^rd July 2022 in Marlay Park is hereby approved subject to the 12 conditions contained in the foregoing report of the Senior Planner.

Order of the Executive Manager, Planning Department, dated 21^st June 2021 - Further information to be sought from the event promoter in accordance with Article 191 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended).

Why your views matter

Where a public event which comprises of an audience of 5,000 or more people, the organiser is required to obtain an Outdoor Events Licence from the Local Authority.  This is in accordance with the Planning & Development Act 2000 (As Amended) and Part 16 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (As Amended).

An application was received  on Thursday, 19th March 2020 in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council for the holding of an outdoor concert event to be held in Marlay Park, Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.

Further information was requested on 25th June 2020 and 21st June 2021. 

The application is for a proposed series of concerts. 

The intended dates are: 

Monday 27 June, Tuesday 28th June, Wednesday 29^th June, Friday 1^st July, Saturday 2^nd July and Sunday 3^rd July 2022

Under the Planning and Development (Licensing of Outdoor Events) Regulations, 2001 (as amended) Article 190 of the Regulations, any person may make a submission or observation in writing to the local authority in respect of the application within 3 weeks of receipt of the application by the local authority.
