Council seeks feedback on Draft Road Safety Plan 2015 to 2020
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has launched their new Draft Road Safety Plan 2015 – 2020 and is seeking feedback from the public and interested stakeholders on the draft Plan.
Why your views matter
Following on from the first Road Safety Plan 2000 to 2015, this second Road Safety Plan aims to further reduce road collisions and casualties in the County through a Strategy known as the four E’s of Road Safety; Education, Enforcement, Engineering and Evaluation. Actions are outlined under each heading and targets are set in line with the Road Safety Authority Road Safety Strategy 2013 to 2020.
The Draft Road Safety Plan 2015 – 2020 was recently presented to the dlr Transportation and County Wide Movement Strategic Policy Committee where it was agreed that this would be brought to the public to ascertain their views or comments relating to this five year plan
What happens next
Once the public consultation is completed, a report will be brought forward to the Transportation and County Wide Movement SPC for final approval and adoption.
