Cargo Bike Parking

Overview

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council intends introducing Cargo Bike parking around the County. We are seeking feedback from the public on where they would like Cargo Bike parking spaces to be located in the main towns and villages.

Scheme Details

Cargo bikes are becoming popular in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council area. It is intended to provide Cargo Bike parking around the Country in car parking bays or at locations where sufficient space exists in the public realm.

The Council would like to hear from the owners of such bikes on where they would like to see Cargo Bike parking introduced. Initially such parking will be provided in areas of high demand, such as the main towns and villages in the County.

Why your views matter

The Council is seeking feedback from the public on where they would like to see Cargo Bike parking provided. Submissions should be made by logging onto www.dlrcoco.ie and visiting the Public Consultation Hub. 

The closing date for receipt of submissions is 6th August 2021.

What happens next

Cargo Bike parking will be introduced in areas of highest demand initially. Feedback will be sought from local Councillors before proceeding.
