Overview

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is proposing to temporarily close part of Main Street, Blackrock on Sunday 14th June, 2015 from 1.30pm to 5.00pm to facilitate a Bike Week Cycling Event from Blackrok to UCD and ending in Blackrock Village.

This leisurely cycle event is being organised by the DLR Sports Partnership and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in conjunction with the Blackrock Village Business Network.

Why your views matter

It is proposed to temporarirly close part of Main Street, Blackrock between Bath Place and Cayrsfort Avenue on Sunday 14th June 2015 from 1.30pm to 5pm to facilitate this event.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and pedestrian, cycle and emergency access will be maintained throughout the road closure

Diversions will be signposted.

Diversion route for traffic from the Bootertown direction into the Village will be via George’s Avenue, Frascati Road and Carysfort Avenue with access maintained to Blackrock Dart Station along Bath Place.

Diversion route for traffic from the Dun Laoghaire direction into the Village along Temple Road or Main Street (behind the Church) will be via Carysfort Avenue, Frascati Road and Rock Hill.

Parking will be removed from early morning on Main Street between Bath Place and Carysfort Avenue to facilitate the afternoon road closure.
