Traffic & Road Safety Section: Road Safety Plan 2022 to 2030

Closed 19 Aug 2022

Opened 11 Jul 2022

Overview

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is asking the public for their views on how the county’s roads can be made safer by taking part in a public consultation on a new Road Safety Plan 2022 to 2030.

The Road Safety Plan has been developed in line with the Government Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030 whose primary aim is to reduce by 50% the number of deaths and serious injuries on Irish roads by 2030. The strategy is led by a Safe System approach, which is viewed as best practice globally in the delivery of road safety strategies.

Why your views matter

The public consultation invites views from the public and interested stakeholders on the proposed approach to road safety until 2030. This consultation is aimed at everyone because we recognise that all road users have a part to play in the success of any future road safety plan.

Please complete this brief survey by 19th August to provide some feedback on the Road Safety Plan 2022 -2030. The survey should take about 5 minutes to complete.
