Overview

Wings for Life have applied to Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to temporarily close the roads listed below in order to host a Charity Run on Sunday May 3rd 2015.

Wings for Life, is an international not-for-profit spinal cord research foundation.  Their mission is to find a cure for spinal cord injury.  Wings for Life, fund world-class scientific research and clinical trials around the globe aimed at healing the injured spinal cord.

The race will take the following route:-

Newtownsmith, Link Road, Glasthule Road, Sandycove Road, Breffni Road, Harbour Road, Leslie Avenue, Coliemore Road, Sorrento Terrace, Vico Road, Strathmore Road, Station Road, Seafield Road, Killiney Hill Road, Shanganagh Road, Dublin Road.

Why your views matter

It is proposed that the roads listed above will be temporarily closed from 11.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. to facilitate the race.

Road Closures and the diversion of Traffic will be under the Control of the Gardaí and will be clearly signposted.  Local access will be maintained.

A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and diversions will be signposted.
