Draft Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Contribution Scheme Old Connaught Area 2026 - 2036
Overview
Under Section 48 of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended, Planning Authorities may make a development contribution scheme in respect of certain public infrastructure and facilities provided by, or on behalf of, the local authority that generally benefit development within the administrative area of the Council.
Monies collected under Development Contribution scheme are allocated to the funding of public infrastructure and facilities described in section 48(17) of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended.
Contributions are proposed to be collected in the Draft Development Contribution scheme are allocated to three classes of public infrastructure, Community & Parks facilities & Recreational Amenities, Transport Infrastructure and Surface Water Infrastructure.
Details of the proposed contributions under the "Draft Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Development Contribution Scheme Old Connaught Area 2026 - 2036" for the administrative area Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council are set out in Table A below. For applicable development(s) within the administrative area of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in the Old Connaught Area Table A & B applies.

Copies of the Draft Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Development Contribution Scheme Old Connaught Area 2026-2036 are available for inspection at the following locations:
- Civic Hub, County Hall, Dún Laoghaire (9:00am - 5:00pm).
- Council Offices, Dundrum Office Park, Dundrum (9:30am - 12:30pm & 1:30pm - 4:30pm).
Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) from Friday 16th January, 2026 to Friday 27th February, 2026 (inclusive).
- All branches of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Libraries during opening hours.
Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Draft Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Development Contributions Scheme Old Connaught Area 2026 - 2036 must be made not later than 5:00pm on Friday 27th February 2026 as follows:

- In writing to the, Senior Executive Officer, Planning Department, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, and clearly marked "Draft Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Contribution Scheme Old Connaught Area 2026 - 2036".
