Overview

The Draft Kiltiernan – Glenamuck Local Area Plan (LAP) sets out the policies and objectives to guide future development in Kiltiernan - Glenamuck.

Vision 

The vision for Kiltiernan – Glenamuck is of a connected and sustainable neighbourhood which enhances the existing green infrastructure, rural character, heritage and biodiversity, and includes a vibrant and inclusive village centre.

Draft Plan Public Consultation   

The Draft Kiltiernan – Glenamuck Local Area Plan (LAP) will be on display both in hard copy and online for a period of not less than 6 weeks from 6 February to 21 March 2025.

The Draft LAP is available to view in our online virtual room here and also at the following physical locations:  

  • Planning Counter, County Hall, Dún Laoghaire (open 10am – 4pm)  

  • Council Offices, Dundrum Office Park, Dundrum (open 9:30am -12:30pm & 1:30pm – 4:30pm)  

  • All branches of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown libraries during library opening hours. 

Public Consultation Events

An online webinar will be held on 18 February 2025, from 7pm until 8pm.

Two ‘Drop-in Sessions’ will be held in Kiltiernan Parish Centre on:

  • Tuesday, 25 February 2025 from 4pm until 8pm
  • Thursday, 6 March 2025 from 4pm until 8pm 

Staff who have worked on the Draft Local Area Plan will be available to meet those interested in the Draft LAP during these events.

Making a submission on the Draft Kiltiernan - Glenamuck LAP  

Submissions and observations are invited from the public and interested parties and can be made in either of the following two ways:  

  • Online through this consultation hub. 

  • In writing addressed to Senior Executive Officer, Planning and Economic Development Department, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.  

The closing date for submissions or observations is 11:59pm on 21 March, 2025. 

LATE SUBMISSIONS/OBSERVATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  

Note:  

  • Children, or groups or associations representing the interests of children, are entitled to make submissions or observations.  

  • All submissions and observations should include your name and a contact address and, where relevant, details of any organisation, community group or company etc., which you represent.  

  • Please make your submit by one medium only, i.e. hard copy or dlr consultation.

  • Submissions will be published online, however names, addresses and contact details will be redacted.  

If making your submission by post, please state your name, address, and where relevant, the organisation you represent.

All submissions received that provide consent will be published on the website of the Council accompanied by the respondent's name or the organisation’s name they submitted on behalf of. Their name will be listed in the Chief Executive’s report which will be published on the website of the Council, as per Section 20(3)(c)(ia) & 20(3)(c)(ii)(l) of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended. 

Where consent has not been provided, the name of individuals will not be published on the website of the Council, however the content of their submission will be published on the website of the Council. Their name will be listed in the Chief Executive’s report, which will be published on the website of the Council, as per Section 20(3)(c)(ia) & 20(3)(c)(ii)(l) of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended.
