Hi,

Despite the development of the badly needed new Kilternan/Glenamuck distributor road, with associated road/ footpaths /cycle lanes improvements, it is hard to understand why none of these related improvements are included in the lower half of the Glenanmuck Road - from the Brambledown Estate down to the Carrickmines Great roundabout.

The Glenamuck Road and footpaths are already in a bad state of repair due to the numerous road works connecting up previous, existing and future residential developments. The footpaths are too narrow and are a real danger due to traffic proximity, and there are still no cycle or electric scooter lanes.

With the number of existing and proposed housing developments in play, with more to come on stream, this already hazardous situation will only become more dangerous and a hardship for all residents - existing and new.

This is still the case; even allowing for the commuter traffic load the new distributor road will hopefully remove.

This proposed plan does not include any improvements as listed above to the lower half of the Glenamuck Road.

Why is this the case?

Is it going to be addressed ?

If so, when?

Regards,

Mark
