Draft Control of Stationless On-Street Bike Hire Bye-Laws, 2018

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in exercise of its powers vested in them by the provisions of Section 199 of the Local Government Act, 2001 and all other enabling statutory powers, hereby gives notice that it proposes to introduce Bye-Laws to manage and control Stationless Bike Hire operations in the County. The Council has now drawn up Draft Bye-Laws to regulate such operations. 

Why We Are Consulting

The Draft Bye-Laws cover the issuing of a licence for Operators and provide for a permit fee for each bike, in addition to specifying certain minimum standards for Operators and where bikes can park.  

The Draft Bye Laws are available for inspection at the Council offices at County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, and at the Council offices at Dundrum Office Park, Main Street, Dundrum, Dublin 14 from Thursday 14th June until Thursday 26th July 2018,

They should be clearly marked ‘’Draft Control of Stationless On-Street Bike Hire bye-laws 2018 .’’
