Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council is currently preparing a ‘Noise Action Plan’ for the County in accordance with EC Directive 2002/49/EC and S.I. No. 140 of 2006 relating to the assessment and management of environmental noise. This strategic plan will cover environmental noise from traffic and heavy/light rail. It covers the period from December 2018 to November 2023. It excludes noise from domestic activities or nuisance noise.
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Traffic & Road Safety Section, is undertaking a Public Consultation for the Draft Noise Action Plan and welcomes all submissions and observations on the plan.

The Council is seeking comments and observations from the public to help inform the Noise Action Plan and amend if necessary. This Noise Action Plan and associated Noise Maps will be placed on public display in the offices of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council from April 25th to May 28th 2018 and will also be available for viewing on the Council’s website.

Submissions may be made publicly available if requested under the Freedom of Information Act 1997 as amended.
The Noise Action Plan and noise maps can be found on public display in County Hall in Dún Laoghaire and in the Dundrum Area Office and are available on www.dlrcoco.ie under the dlr Consultation Hub in ‘view all consultations’.
